The Wildlife Paintings:

My works are influenced largely by my early years growing up in East Africa.  Creating scenes that offer a distinctive portrayal of the subject’s natural environment and also offer a unique look into the life of the subject is my goal.  My recent work involves creating hand painted images using a digital canvas. The final digital images are printed professionally as giclée prints on either canvas or archival fine art paper.

The Bird Feather Series:

These images are the result of experimentation with my personal photographs of bird life.  Fascinated with the myriad and often brilliant color combinations found in the avian world, I sought a way to display these attributes in a new and unique manner.   I found that by taking a thin slice of a photographic bird image I am able to manipulate it, to pare it, mirror it, and replicate it to create kaleidoscopic images that are both pleasing and often quite surprising.  These digitally manipulated photographic images are then printed on digital photographic paper using a high-end wide format Epson Photo Printer.
